How We Detect Slab Leaks

We use non-invasive electronic leak detection equipment — no jackhammering to find the leak:

• Acoustic listening devices that amplify the sound of pressurized water escaping through pipe and slab
• Electromagnetic pipe locators to map the exact route of pipes under the slab
• Thermal imaging to detect temperature anomalies on your floor surface
• Pressure testing to confirm the leak and isolate it to hot or cold supply lines

Once we locate the leak, we mark it on the floor so you can see exactly where it is and what we need to access.

Repair Options

Depending on the leak location, pipe condition, and foundation type:

• Direct repair — Cut through the slab at the leak location, repair or replace the damaged pipe section, and patch the concrete. Best for single, isolated leaks in accessible locations.
• Reroute — Run a new pipe around the outside or through the walls to bypass the leaking section entirely. Avoids cutting the slab. Preferred when pipes are old and likely to leak again elsewhere.
• Epoxy lining — In some cases, the interior of the pipe can be lined with epoxy to seal small leaks without excavation.
